Overview: For my fourth and final project I decided to focus on something that might actually be useful in my future. I thought of the idea of planning out my dream life. From college to career to my dream house, I planned it all out. The skill that had to be represented into the project was "synthesis".
Art: For the art portion of my project I decided to draw my dream house. In order to incorporate synthesis into this project I had to pick two styles of houses to combine together into one house I wanted to live in some day. I decided to combine a Tudor house with a victorian style house. Also, I ended up adding some craftsman style into the final product. I left school for one full day to work with my grandpa, who is a former architect. He helped me so much with drawing the house, I wouldn't have known where to begin without him. In the end, I came up with a house I could really like to live in some day.

English: For the English portion of my project I wrote my college essay that I plan to submit to colleges when the time is right. In order to incorporate synthesis I researched three well-written college essays and wrote down characteristics I really liked about them and what I wanted to include in my essay. I ended up with, Imagery, strong vocabulary, and organized structure. Adding all of these components into my essay would be my synthesis for the English portion. I began by wanting to write about my cousin, Nate, who died at the age of 19 from a heroin overdose. As I began writing I realized this isn't what I wanted my college essay to be about. I realized I wanted my essay to on something that completely changed me and made me stronger as a person. Although my cousins death changed my life forever, it hasn't made me stronger as a person. As I continued thinking about what my topic could be, the perfect topic came to mind; my parents divorce. The essay was not hard to write due to remembering the event so clearly. I meant with my teacher many times and changed things in the essay multiple times, however; I finally landed on the copy I would like to keep t submit to colleges.
Social Studies: For the social studies portion of my project, I decided to focus on what career I wanted to pursue in the near future. Originally, I wanted to open my own business as a wedding/party planner. After realizing I wasn't going to be able to connect a wedding planner to the topic of civics, I changed my career path. Instead I made my self the event coordinator or an organization called, The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ). For the final product I decided to create my own event for the organization. I created a conference for people who wanted to9 become better citizens. The conference is a three-day long event, with 3 famous guest speakers (Barack Obama, Ellen Degeneres, and Linda Thompson). I created a website to advertise the conference with a engaging home page, detailed schedule, information about each activity, and an 'about us' page explaining what the organization does. To show synthesis within my project I made the guest speaker three people with different contributions as citizens.
